About the Role
In this position you will lead and deliver timely internal customer focused corporate governance advice and services to support the delivery of business objectives.

  • Remuneration from Entry $90,485 p.a. - SS4 $105,846 p.a. Plus statutory superannuation currently 11.5%

Desired Skills and Experience

Your value proposition to us: 

  • Relevant bachelor level qualification in law or 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of legislation applicable to local government and experience in land and property matters including Crown lands, land categorisation, land acquisition and transfer, leases, native title, easements, covenants and associated matters
  • Proven experience providing effective corporate governance advice and services.
  • Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgement in a high-volume work environment.
  • High level interpersonal skills including analytical and problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills utilising the Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Class C Drivers License

Your average workday will be kept busy by:

  • Communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders with conflicting priorities, to manage expectations and matters that are time and cost sensitive.
  • Maintaining familiarity with current research, policy and initiatives relevant to Local Government, so that projects and policy advice reflect current knowledge and best practice.
  • Balancing competing demands and priorities in a high work volume environment across diverse technical areas.
