Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Engineer with proven technical leadership and project management skills who values being part of a great team. You will be a self-starter with strong communication and stakeholder engagement coupled with a drive for delivering fit for purpose quality projects.
About Rous
Our new site has brought together all Council operations under one roof, creating a dynamic, collaborative, and future-focused workplace. Located on a spacious 71-hectare site, the facility has been designed with staff wellbeing, sustainability, and operational excellence in mind. Rous has an operational footprint covering 3,000km2. As a county council, we are responsible for providing three specific functions; bulk water supply, weed biosecurity and flood mitigation.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or engineering and water industry experience

Your average workday will be kept busy by:
Project managing the design and construction of asset renewal and new asset projects, including the engagement and management of consultants and contractors
Complete procurement documentation, including contracts, cost schedules, specifications, quoting and tendering, and evaluation plans for a variety of projects to meet the organisation's needs
Supervise, monitor and coordinate day to day activities of Contractors across work fronts and disciplines, focussing on safety, environmental, work quality and reporting
Providing technical guidance and support to other colleagues as part of the broader Capital Program team
Undertake engineering design and documentation for a variety of water assets, ensuring that all designs conform to sound engineering principles based on current best practice, and relevant standards.
